Just as the name suggests, Kids Helping Kids was founded to benefit disadvantaged children. Rather than helping one organization, Kids Helping Kids chooses a wide range of organizations that help children in different ways and in different parts of the world. While our goals change over time, our current plan is to give 60% of the money we raise to organizations in Montreal and 40% of the money we raise to organizations in the rest of Canada and international organizations.
While we have made donations to bigger organizations in the past, we now focus more and more on grass roots organizations where we feel we really can make a difference. As we have grown, children in different parts of Canada have wanted to help raise money in their neighborhoods. In that case, any money raised is typically donated to a charity located in that particular neighborhood.
